Starting January 31st and continuing for 8 weeks, the Gamers Den will host a D&D minis league. This league will be constructed format, using figures from all D&D minis sets that have a character card.. Cost to join the league is $5 per player.

League weeks will run Sunday - Saturday (and yes, we are still closed Sundays, unless we say otherwise). Each week participants will be able to play a single league game against any other league member. Each league game played scores 1 point for that week, and the winner will also receive an additional point.

Points will be tallied at the end of each week, and the player with the most points will win the week. The player with the most weekly wins will win the league, and players will be ranked based on weekly wins.

Prizes will be awarded for this league, by winner's choice for which prize they want.

I'm not up at all on the rule changes. What would you suggest, since you knwo far more about the game than I, as I never played past the 4e changes.

Like the UFS (and Warhammer and Thrones and Cthulhu) league, this is about playing games we love, having fun, and winning prizes. It may take a few tweaks to get it running smoothly, but the points and weekly winners really do put a alrger emphasis on fun, and allows all participants to be actively involved all the way to the end.

In fact, we might start having more leagues for games where regular tournaments don't work as well, as they seem to encourage more players. However, games like Magic and Yu-Gi-Oh! will still have their tournaments. But I see League potential in both of these games as well, and like what they add to the play experience.

Well personally the rulings and structure of the 4E system work much much better and are much more friendly to new comers, but most people have more 3E creatures that 4E due to it being around much longer. So personally I believe that we should use 3E creatures, in a 4E structural set, if you think this sounds good, I can try to write up a rule set for how this would work.

Sounds do-able. Get me a write-up, and we can post it here for players.
